Asano Mikawa nagura Botan / Mejiro / Koma

Nagura, whether Asano or Tomo (or others), allow you to create a mud. The best solution for creating a mud is to have a sufficiently hard stone that we will call a "support stone", a stone supporting the friction of the nagura in order to detach the abrasive from the nagura and not from the stone. This is why it will be useless to use them on a soft stone (lev3/3.5). They will be used on hard stones of lev4.5 / 5/5+,

• Botan ボタン (3000/5000) -> Mejiro 目白 (8000/10000) -> Koma コマ (10000/12000+)

Nagura work requires time, patience, and a desire to finish the edge more evenly; we are not talking about abrasion work, but erosion. Once you have acquired the know-how, you will be able to use each nagura for each stage of edge formation.
